Herringbone Restaurant Los Cabos is one of four venues designed by New York’s architects Rockwell Group for the Vidanta Los Cabos resort and is owned by the powerhouse Hakkasan Group who are well known globally for their SuperClubs, fine dining restaurant experiences and much more.
Herringbone Los Cabos is renowned for the quality of its food and dining experience. The spectacular interior brings Cabo’s glorious beachfront inside. Guests are surrounded by luscious indoor planting and a light and airy nautical décor. The Hakkasan Group create immersive experiences for their guests – no matter the type of venue. Herringbone restaurants can be found all across the globe as Hakkasan Group expand their portfolio of ocean-to-table venues.
AudioTek and Hakkasan Group
James Algate, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Hakkasan, spoke with the award-winning Mondo dr magazine about the installation at Herringbone Los Cabos:
“Audiotek has been Hakkasan’s A/V integrator for over a decade and their successes with our other venues [Omnia/Jewel/Hakkasan Nightclubs in Las Vegas and Omnia Day Club in Bali, Indonesia] meant they were the logical choice for this project. Following our initial brief, they came back with an L-Acoustics design to ensure the expectation of the new Day club, followed the existing reputation of our nightlife venues.”
Our work across Herringbone Los Cabos included new sound systems for 4 key areas, all of which needed to be heard over the Sea of Cortez, pools, cabanas, and keep up with the high energy atmosphere their specially selected DJs create. In addition, we worked on the hotel lobby, sky lobby, valet area, and hotel walkways. But that’s not all, we were also asked to install new amplification and networked audio in crucial parts of the hotel, such as the spa, breakfast room, and onsite restaurant.
Audio Visual Technology – Hakkasan resort & Herringbone restaurant
The brief for this project was to offer the best audio, as well as being directly comparable to the Hakkasan nightclubs in Las Vegas. Across the entire venue, networked audio was a high priority for the programme; the team needed the ability to send audio to anywhere from anywhere, as well as time important changes in the music schedule across the site.
We built in the ability to connect remotely to the resort so that system updates and changes can be managed from our base in Reading. This gives us a lot more flexibility, and control, to handle any requests efficiently and at short notice.
In order to blend with the resorts natural décor, we to find a discreet solution that offered precision and power.
