Potawatomi Casino AV System | Audiotek Case Study

Designing the new Potawatomi Casino AV System was an exciting challenge for us. The Casino resort is owned and operated by the Forest County Potawatomi Community, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is one of the region’s leading gaming and entertainment destinations.

To elevate the guest experience across its gaming floor, hospitality areas and entertainment spaces, the venue commissioned Audiotek to design and deliver a fully integrated Potawatomi Casino AV system as part of a major refurbishment of the main casino floor.

The refurbishment of the casino floor created an opportunity to implement a new integrated AV infrastructure capable of supporting entertainment, gaming and hospitality experiences simultaneously.

The Potawatomi Casino AV system was designed to deliver consistent audio coverage and high-impact video content across multiple operational zones.

Potawatomi Casino AV System Project Scope

The scale of the project required advanced AV design, careful acoustic planning and the ability to integrate multiple technologies into one cohesive system.

Audiotek was tasked with delivering the Potawatomi Casino AV system across a number of distinct areas within the casino complex:

  • Main gaming floor.
  • VIP high-limits gaming area.
  • Show kitchen and cooking demonstration area adjacent to the VIP space.
  • Secondary gaming area featuring café, street food outlets, retail space and sports bar.
  • Performance stage system within the Rock & Brews restaurant.

The goal of the Potawatomi Casino AV system was to create a seamless entertainment environment while maintaining operational reliability in a high-traffic gaming venue.

Engineering Challenges

The AV system had to overcome several complex technical challenges.

Large Multi-Zone Environment

The casino floor includes multiple entertainment areas operating simultaneously.

Each zone required tailored sound and video coverage while remaining part of the wider Potawatomi Casino AV system infrastructure.

High ceilings and open architectural layouts also made consistent audio coverage a key design consideration.

Complex Video Infrastructure

The venue required a large number of video displays to support promotional content, live entertainment and digital signage.

Integrating multiple video walls and displays into the Potawatomi Casino AV system required a powerful and flexible content management solution.

Acoustic Environment

Casinos present unique acoustic challenges due to constant background noise from gaming machines, crowds and entertainment activity.

The Potawatomi Casino AV system had to balance ambient sound levels with clear speech and music playback across all operational zones.

Audiotek’s Solution

Our experience in complex AV integration allowed the team to distil the design challenges into a clear system architecture.

Working closely with the lead architect, i5 Design Build, Audiotek refined the design to ensure the Potawatomi Casino AV system integrated seamlessly within the refurbished casino floor.

The system combined high-performance audio, large-format LED displays and advanced content management to create a unified entertainment environment.

Potawatomi Casino AV System Design

The Potawatomi Casino AV system uses Martin Audio loudspeakers throughout the venue to deliver consistent, high-quality sound coverage across all zones.

Key elements include:

  • Ceiling and wall-mounted Martin Audio speakers for even sound distribution.
  • Advanced digital signal processing (DSP) for precise zone control.
  • Acoustic modelling to optimise speaker placement and minimise noise interference.

This configuration ensures the Potawatomi Casino AV system maintains clear audio for announcements, music and live entertainment across the casino.

Video System Integration

Visual content plays a major role in the overall guest experience within the casino.

The Potawatomi Casino AV system incorporates an extensive network of displays including:

  • 29 large-format LED video walls using Taylorled’s technology.
  • High-resolution Samsung displays positioned throughout the venue.
  • Dynamic content delivery systems supporting promotional media and live feeds.

Tripleplay’s content management platform enables staff to control and update video content across the entire Potawatomi Casino AV system.

Control & Content Management

To simplify system operation, Audiotek implemented centralised control interfaces allowing staff to manage the Potawatomi Casino AV system from a unified platform.

Custom programming enables:

  • Flexible content scheduling.
  • Rapid adjustments during live events.
  • Simple day-to-day operation for venue staff.
